CRPF Deploys Women Personnel In Bhopal, Proves That The ‘Present’ Is Female

Deployed to protect the law and order in Madhya Pradesh during the election, the Central Reserve Police Force just added to the rising culture in India with their women personnel. 90 women cops holding ranks up to the DGP have been sent to Indore, Ujjain, and Bhopal who will monitor the security and safety of the major three cities. "They are performing their duty sincerely whatever task is assigned to them. This is the first time that we have deployed women force for elections in MP," said PK Pandey, CRPF IG to TOI.

The CRPF has also formed an election cell in order to execute the duties and manage them. Also, they said that women personnel starting joining the forces in 1986 and since then they have played an equal role in safeguarding the country as men. When asked about the limited deployment of women they told, "CRPF deploys women cops when their services are sought by the local police. We will deploy more women personnel if there is a demand,” says Mr. Pandey.

"We have a full women battalion functioning in Chhattisgarh. The battalion also has commandoes. For your records, they have been doing an excellent job there," he added. "CRPF is one of the most disciplined forces in the country. We are only performing our duty. We are doing, whatever we are asked to maintain law and order," said a cop.

Being the only paramilitary force in India with six women battalions, CRPF has always encouraged opportunities for women to show their strength and devote their national integrity by working for the force. Think about the many issues we slam on the dynamics of women in India. From pay-disparity to sexism to male dominance, there’s no problem we won’t be able to solve if we keep stepping ahead with initiatives like this.
